Ollie Bearman received a 10-place grid penalty for disregarding red flags during the Formula 1 British Grand Prix FP3 and crashing in the pitlane. This incident coincided with Gabriel Bortoleto’s accident. Bearman’s loss of control while pitting forced other drivers to take evasive action, leading to a significant collision. The FIA investigated the matter and found Bearman guilty of violating F1’s sporting regulations by entering the pitlane slip-road at a dangerous speed of 260km/h during the red flag. Consequently, Bearman not only loses 10 grid places for the British GP but also accumulates four penalty points, totaling his penalty points to eight. The stewards’ report highlighted Bearman’s failure to reduce speed during red flag conditions, leading to the crash in the pitlane at high speed.
